The new Sweet Leadership site has been live for a few weeks now and I have not said a word about it.
That is not modesty and it was not a launch strategy. It is the same thing that kept the site itself from being rebuilt for years, and I will get to that.
First, what is there.
Three ways to work together: coaching, speaking, facilitation. They may look like three different services, but they’re really one practice. However a client comes into the work, what I’m looking for is the same: the constraint they can’t see from where they’re standing.
Most of the people I work with are already highly capable. That is exactly what can make their problem hard to name. When the results do not match the effort and nothing is visibly broken, there is nowhere obvious to look. The site is organized around that rather than around what I sell.
Now the other part.
Rebuilding this forced me to look at things I had been avoiding for fourteen years, and almost none of them were design decisions. Why I did not want my own name on the business. Why I could not stand having my face on it. What fourteen years of my own material was quietly doing to me. And what was actually blocking the work, which turned out to have nothing to do with budget, time or capability.
The site did not take long to write. It took fourteen years to be ready to write it.
Over the next few months, I’m going to tell the story behind that second number.
Have a look.
